Finally had the opportunity to get my sketchbook out and do a little illustrating. I still have work to sort out for a forthcoming show in Malton. the 'Ryedale Open Art Exhibition'. For the last 2 years I have put work in for it and I think I have narrowed down what I am sending this year.And that means another private view to attend - exciting!
Today however, I have been focused on coastal birds for a completely different exhibition with another gallery. Drawing colourful pelicans, gulls and oyster catchers to get the feel of their shape and line... couldn't help putting them into repeat.
