Our garden is inundated with chicken eggs. Instead of building a lovely nest, our girls (and next door's) have instead taken it upon themselves to try and lay them in very unusual and inconvenient places. Today I found our polish frizzle Pickle in the compost heap with 2 eggs, underneath a dead christmas tree and surrounded by nettles. How am I supposed to reach them?! And while this is all going on, our dog finds it a good game to collect as many eggs as he can find. As he isn't affected by nettles stings... he's beating me.

And in the picture below you can see one of our chicken's eggs (left) compared to a shop bought egg (right). Record breakers for the world's smallest chicken egg I think?!
